#$%^&*AU2019250193A120191107.pdf#####ABSTRACT Methods are provided for allowing patients, health care practitioners and other service providers to have remote access to electronic medical records of a patient stored on a computer network by receiving, from the provider, a request for requesting access to the electronic medical record and providing a provider information, a consent validation service (CVS) attribute, a patient information, and a purpose of use, the provider information selected from a group consisting of a provider ID, a provider location, a provider department, and the purpose of use, the CVS attribute selected from a group consisting of a patient name, the provider ID, the provider location, the provider department, and the purpose of use, the patient information selected from a group consisting of a patient ID, a password, a passphrase, and a key; authenticating the provider through the provider information; authenticating the provider by validating the patient information; confirming a patient specific consent protocol based on: the CVS attribute; the patient information; and the purpose of use; and establishing a connection for the access to the electronic medical record for the provider in response to authenticating the provider and confirming the patient specific consent protocol.
