A smart terminal-based wireless network control method and wireless network control device, comprising the following steps: scanning for a wireless network in a current environment, acquiring a service set identifier (SSID) of the wireless network in the current network, comparing the SSID of the wireless network with prestored SSIDs in a prestored database, when the SSID of the wireless network matches a prestored SSID in the prestored database, establishing a connection to the wireless network, monitoring traffic consumption of the smart terminal, comparing the traffic consumption with a preset traffic threshold, and, when the traffic consumption is less than the preset traffic threshold, disconnecting the connection of the smart terminal to the wireless network. The present invention implements the monitoring of the state of traffic consumption of the smart terminal and, when the traffic consumption of the smart terminal is low, allows the automatic disconnection of the connection to the wireless network. The degree of intelligence in smart terminal wireless network connection is increased.
