The invention concerns a system (10) for protecting a platform (50) against IR-guided missiles (M₁,M₂,M₃). The system (10) comprises a plurality of detection, tracking and jamming integrated devices (11), which are distributed on the platform (50) and are designed to detect, track and jam approaching IR-guided missiles (M₁,M₂,M₃) in respective coverage regions (R₁,R₂,R₃), whereby each detection, tracking and jamming integrated device (11) performs both approaching IR-guided missile detection and countermeasure functions.
