A device and a method for estimating the degree of deterioration of a battery on the basis of big data are disclosed. The device for estimating the degree of deterioration of a battery on the basis of big data comprises: a data collecting unit for receiving deterioration factor data per unit energy for each operation section of a battery from a battery management device provided in the battery; a data processing unit for calculating the degree of deterioration per unit energy, in which the deterioration factor data received by the data collecting unit is reflected, on the basis of pre-stored big data of the degree of deterioration per unit energy for each operation section; a data storing unit for updating the big data of the degree of deterioration per unit energy for each operation section, by reflecting the degree of deterioration calculated by the data processing unit; and a degree of deterioration calculating unit for calculating the degree of deterioration of the battery having a certain usage pattern on the basis of the big data of the degree of deterioration per unit energy for each operation section.
