A gearbox-oil-resistant and halogen-free flame-retardant groove insulating material of an electric vehicle motor and an application thereof, comprising first weaving glass cloth, a polyphenylene sulfide thin film, and second weaving glass cloth which are arranged in a stacked manner in sequence; the first weaving glass cloth and the polyphenylene sulfide thin film, and the polyphenylene sulfide thin film and the second weaving glass cloth are bonded by means of a composite adhesive; the composite adhesive comprises a PU adhesive, an epoxy adhesive, and a halogen-free flame-retardant agent at the mass ratio of (8-10) to (0.5-2) to 1; the epoxy adhesive comprises a modified epoxy resin and an epoxy resin curing agent at the mass ratio of (4-8) to 1. The prepared groove insulating material with the heat resistance level of F and H has the advantage of high crosslinking density.
