METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC ANALYSIS OF THE PIGMENTATION OF THE IRIS AND OF THE PHYSIODYNAMIC VALUES OF THE AQUEOUS HUMOUR

The invention relates to an automatic eye examination method using high-resolution images which are captured with a still/video camera installed in a slit lamp or any other electronic device (such as a mobile phone) and which are analysed with a specific computer program (the Grimaldos iris analysis system), capable of quantitatively calculating and graphically representing two groups of parameters, namely: the characteristics of the pigment of the iris: colorimetric map, contrast map, pachymetry map, and topographical map in two and three dimensions; and the physiodynamic values of the aqueous humour under hydrodynamic overloading: maximum pressure, percentage risk of trabecular block (TBF), and intraocular pressure recovery curve. The computer-implemented method can also perform comparative and evolutive studies, both full and partial, and photodynamic pupillometry.
