METHOD FOR OBTAINING CORE NETWORK TYPE, ACCESS NETWORK DEVICE, AND CORE NETWORK DEVICE

The present application provides a method for obtaining a core network type, an access network device, and a core network device. An access network device can directly obtain a core network type instead of obtaining the core network type by using an ANR report during cell handover, thereby resolving the delay problem caused by the ANR report. The method comprises: a first access network device sends a request message to a second access network device, the request message comprising a global cell identity (GCI) of a target neighbor cell of a cell served by the first access network device, and the request message being used for requesting for a core network type of the target neighbor cell; the second access network device serving the target neighbor cell; the first access network device receives the core network type of the target neighbor cell fed back by the second access network device in respect of the request message.
