The present invention preliminarily measures, in a noncontact manner, one point on a surface of an acceptable product by means of a color sensor (32), sets an acceptability reference value on the basis of the output value from the color sensor (32), subsequently measures, in a noncontact manner, one point on a surface of an inspection object having design specifications the same as those of the acceptable product by means of the color sensor (32), and determines the acceptability/unacceptability by comparing the output value from the color sensor (32) with the acceptability reference value. The present invention can determine the acceptability/unacceptability of an inspection object in a noncontact manner as described above, and thus, is applicable to a high-speed manufacturing line.
