Some embodiments of the present application provide an SDN network in-band control channel establishment method and device, which relate to the field of communications, and can record a transmission port of an OpenFlow switching device, so as to acquire a transmission path of an in-band control packet. Said method comprises: establishing and enabling a first flow table, the first flow table being used for the instruction to hand over a packet, in which the destination IP address is a local IP address, to an upper layer protocol for processing; sending an ARP request, in which the destination IP address is an IP address of an SDN controller, and recording, after having received an ARP response matching the first flow table, a port receiving an ARP response as an uplink egress port; establishing and enabling a second flow table, the second flow table being used for the instruction to hand over a port discovery packet to a control layer for processing; after having received the port discovery packet sent by another OpenFlow switching device matching the second flow table, recording the IP address of said another OpenFlow switching device, recording a port receiving the port discovery packet as a downlink egress port corresponding to said another OpenFlow switching device, and forwarding the port discovery packet from the uplink egress port.
