Disclosed is a method for evaluating a degree of risk of an underground water level in the vicinity of an underground oil storage cavern, which can evaluate whether an underground water level in the vicinity of an underground cavern is stably maintained. The method for evaluating a degree of risk of an underground water level in the vicinity of an underground oil storage cavern comprises the steps of: calculating an underground water level fluctuation monitoring index (IH) to evaluate an underground water level fluctuation characteristic in the vicinity of an underground oil storage cavern; calculating an underground water level hydraulic gradient (IO) to evaluate an underground water level in the vicinity of an underground oil storage cavern; and finally evaluating a degree of risk of an underground water level in the vicinity of an underground oil storage cavern on the basis of the underground water level fluctuation monitoring index (IH) and the underground water level hydraulic gradient (IO). Accordingly, in the evaluating method, the underground water level fluctuation characteristic and the underground water level are individually and separately evaluated in accordance with the underground water level (or water head) observed in the vicinity of an underground oil storage cavern and the two evaluated results above are then combined. Therefore, the present invention can finally evaluate a degree of risk of an underground water level in the vicinity of an underground storage cavern.
