Provided are a method and audio system for realizing multi-channel recording based on an Android system. The method is applicable for an audio system of an Android system-based smart device. The audio system sequentially comprises: a recording application module, an audio framework module, an audio library, a hardware abstraction module and an audio driving module in a kernel. The method comprises the following steps: a hardware abstraction module calling an audio recording interface, for an audio framework to execute a multi-channel recording operation through the audio interface; configuring the audio framework module, so that the audio framework module supports a multi-channel recording function; and configuring the recording application module so that the recording application module supports transmission of recording parameters of multiple channels. The beneficial effects of the technical solution lie in that a user can realize a multi-channel recording function in an Android system, overcoming the defect in the prior art that an Android system-based smart device, such as a mobile phone and a tablet, only supports a single-channel or dual-channel recording function.
