The invention relates to the field of mineral dressing. A method is proposed for separating dust particles during mineral dressing using a gas separator, which comprises a step of particle separation by size in an air (gas) stream. Dust is separated which has particles with nano- and micro-dimensions using coagulation of hydrophilic particles in a moist gas (air) stream, thus causing the hydrophilic particles to combine in the moist gas (air) stream, leading to an increase in the weight thereof and the formation of large conglomerates of said particles, which fall out into a hopper for large particles, while hydrophobic particles are raised. After separation of the hydrophobic (lyophobic) and hydrophilic (lyophilic) particles, the excess hydrophobic (lyophobic) component is incinerated. The method makes it possible to separate micro- and nano-particles by the surface properties thereof, which barely separate in conventional dressing methods (flotation in an impeller flotation machine, gravity concentration in suspension).
