Disclosed is a highly elastic rubber asphalt waterproof coating. The coating comprises or consists of the following components: a natural asphalt dispersion, a defoaming agent, a first resin emulsion, a second resin emulsion, a thickening agent and a preservative, wherein the first resin emulsion is selected from the group consisting of a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion, a neoprene latex and an acrylic resin emulsion; and the second resin emulsion is selected from the group consisting of a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer emulsion and a styrene-butadiene rubber latex. Also disclosed is a method for preparing the waterproof coating, comprising: preparing the natural asphalt dispersion, and sequentially adding the defoaming agent, the first resin emulsion, the second resin emulsion, the thickening agent and the preservative while stirring, so as to obtain the waterproof coating. The waterproof coating of the invention has the properties of high elasticity, excellent adhesion and weathering resistance, etc., and can be used in waterproof and anticorrosive coatings for buildings, etc.
