Disclosed in the present invention are a non-contact palm print acquisition method and apparatus, which are applied to a terminal device having a display device and a front camera. A palm print image is acquired by means of the camera, and when lighting is not ideal, the display of the display device is changed to change the lighting condition of the palm print area, improving the recognition degree of the palm print. The palm print acquisition apparatus and the method therefor of the present invention can be directly used to an existing terminal device, without additionally providing hardware, using multiple ways to alter the display of the display device and change the lighting condition of the palm print area by means of a built-in display device of the terminal device, improving the recognition degree of the palm print.
