A method, device, storage medium, and mobile terminal for making a recommendation about clothing matching, the method comprising: obtaining a photograph with a clothing item as the subject (110); inputting the photograph into a pre-configured classification model to identify category information of the clothing item in the photograph (120), wherein the classification model is a deep learning model trained on photo samples of clothing in different categories; and generating a clothing matching suggestion according to the category information, and displaying the clothing matching suggestion (130).
