The invention relates to a method for producing a soft-magnetic moulding (20), in which, according to a first aspect, magnetically conductive particles (21) are melted such that electrical insulating points are arranged locally in the interspaces interrupting eddy currents which arise when the moulding is used in a magnetic field. According to a second aspect, layers are formed from the particles (21) in the presence of an additive (22), said layers are locally heated by an energy supply, or a blank is formed from the particles (21) and the additive (22), the blank being heated by an energy supply. The energy supply is temporally concentrated such that the magnetically conductive particles at least melt and form a structure with interspaces, in which electrical insulation points are formed on the basis of the additive (22).
