The invention relates to a secure supporting mechanism for bicycles, made up of a vertical support (1) rigidly connected to the seat post (2) of a bicycle, which houses a piston (3) provided with an actuating means (4) such as an electric motor, lever, button or the like, and which has a mobile base (5) at the bottom end thereof, preferably square and made of metal, which in turn is provided with two arms (6) with bearings (7) at the distal end thereof like a motorcycle stand, so that, upon actuating the piston (3), the bearings (7) touch the ground and slightly raise the rear wheel of the bicycle, allowing the cyclist to continue pedalling without any traction during a temporary stop.
