A drum (1) for building a tyre for two-wheeled vehicles comprises a shaft (2) and first and second angular sectors (100, 200) arranged coaxially to the shaft (2). The first sectors (100) are radially movable between a first position in which they are circumferentially adjacent to one another and the drum (1) is in a contracted configuration and a second position in which they are circumferentially spaced apart from one another and the drum (1) is in an expanded configuration. The second sectors (200) are radially movable between a first position in which the drum (1) is in the contracted configuration and the second sectors (200) are circumferentially adjacent to one another and arranged in a radially inner position with respect to the first sectors (100) and a second position in which the drum (1) is in the expanded configuration and the second sectors (200) are circumferentially spaced apart from one another.
