[Problem] To accurately estimate the internal temperature of a rechargeable battery through simple calculation. [Solution] This rechargeable battery temperature estimation device for estimating the internal temperature of a rechargeable battery has: a current acquisition means for acquiring a current detection value outputted from a current sensor which detects a current flowing through the rechargeable battery; a calculation means for calculating, on the basis of the current detection value, the amount of heat generated inside the rechargeable battery in accordance with the current; a temperature acquisition means for acquiring a temperature detection value outputted from a temperature sensor which detects the external temperature of the rechargeable battery; an estimation means for estimating, on the basis of the amount of the generated heat and the temperature detection value, the internal temperature of the rechargeable battery in accordance with the current and the external temperature; and an output means for outputting the estimated internal temperature.
