METHOD FOR PROCESSING CHANNEL OF SMART TELEVISION, AND SMART TELEVISION

Disclosed are a method for processing a channel of a smart television, and a smart television. The method comprises: determining, by means of determining a currently started channel of a smart television, whether the currently started channel is a virtual channel virtualized by an application program running on the smart television; and in response to the currently started channel being the virtual channel, acquiring content played on the smart television by means of a network. By means of taking a channel virtualized by an application program as a channel started upon turning on a smart television, when the smart television is turned on, the application program can be directly started to play corresponding video content.
