A self-service shopping method, an intelligent shopping device, a backend system, and a self-service shopping system; the method comprises: acquiring identity verification information of a target user using an intelligent shopping device, and sending the identity verification information and an identifier of the intelligent shopping device to a backend system (S201); recognizing coded product information of each selected product placed in the intelligent shopping device (S202); sending the coded product information and the identifier of the intelligent shopping device to the backend system, such that the backend system associates the coded product information with the target user according to the identifier of the intelligent shopping device (S203), thereby achieving self-service shopping and self-service checkout, preventing circumstances in which consumers wait for a long time in a checkout lane, and improving the shopping experience of users; meanwhile, it is thus unnecessary to employ a large number of cashiers, thereby lowering labor costs required by commercial supermarket operations.
