An e-commerce commodity recommendation method and an e-commerce platform server. The e-commerce commodity recommendation method is applied to an e-commerce platform server, and comprises: when it is detected that a user places an order, acquiring ordered commodities in the order (101); according to the ordered commodities, acquiring, from a database, associated commodities associated with the ordered commodities, and acquiring association coefficients of various associated commodities (102), wherein the association coefficients are the probabilities that the associated commodities and the ordered commodities are in the same order; according to the size of the association coefficients, screening out, from the acquired associated commodities, at least one associated commodity as a pre-recommended commodity (103); and pushing commodity information of the pre-recommended commodity to a terminal interface of the user (104). By means of associated commodities associated with ordered commodities in a database, the corresponding commodities are recommended according to association coefficients of the associated commodities, thereby facilitating the providing of targeted commodity recommendation for a client, improving the shopping experience of a user, and also facilitating the increase of the sales volume of an e-commerce platform.
