INTERCOOLING AND SUPERCHARGING SYSTEM FOR V-TYPE MULTI-CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE

An intercooling and supercharging system for a V-type multi-cylinder diesel engine, comprising a left-side intercooler (11), a right-side intercooler (21), a left-side supercharger (12), and a right-side supercharger (22), the left and right-side superchargers being correspondingly mounted above the left and right-side intercoolers; the left-side intercooler and the right-side intercooler are square housings, and inner portions of the square housings are provided with air circulation chambers; inner side walls of the left-side intercooler and the right-side intercooler are provided with an air inlet flange (15) that extends upward, while outer side walls of the left-side intercooler and the right-side intercooler are provided with an air outlet flange (13) that extends forward; a turbine of the left-side supercharger is driven by the exhaust gas of a left-side exhaust pipe, and a turbine of the right-side supercharger is driven by the exhaust gas of a right-side exhaust pipe; an outlet of a compressor of the left-side supercharger and the air inlet flange of the left-side intercooler are connected, and an outlet of a compressor of the right-side supercharger and the air inlet flange of the right intercooler are connected. The system may increase the air density charged into a cylinder to meet the air intake requirements of high-power high-speed diesel engines.
