This digital-type protection relay device is provided with: an input circuit (11) for receiving an analog electrical quantity and converting the received analog electrical quantity to a digital signal; a calculation processing unit (21) for performing various calculation processing using the converted digital signal; an output circuit (31) for generating and outputting an operation signal that operates a switch on the basis of a determination result of the calculation processing unit (21); a display unit (51) for displaying an output of the calculation processing unit (21) corresponding to an input display item from an operation unit (811) or an external device input from an input circuit (21); and a storage unit (23) for recording and storing the input display item and time from the operation unit (811) or the external device input to the input circuit (21). When a display item displayed on the display unit (51) is changed, a comparison is performed between an initially set display item and time and the latest display item and time stored in the storage unit (23).
