An all-terrain walking-type pipe transport vehicle, composed of a travelling apparatus (1), a steering apparatus (2), a traversing apparatus (3), a pipe rotating apparatus (4), a transporting apparatus (5), and a welding device mounting rack (6), the steering apparatus, the traversing apparatus, the pipe rotating apparatus, and the transporting apparatus all being loaded or embedded on the travelling apparatus, the traversing apparatus, the pipe rotating apparatus, the transporting apparatus, and the welding device mounting rack all being mounted above the travelling apparatus, and the steering apparatus being mounted below the travelling apparatus. Using the present all-terrain walking-type pipe transport vehicle and the pipe joint welding method thereof can make a land pipe laying platform smart to implement transport, alignment, assembly, welding, pipeline post-treatment and laying. The all-terrain walking-type pipe transport vehicle walks flexibly, has accurate pipe alignment and docking, reduces the working area, can save a large amount of construction equipment and labour, and is safe and efficient.
