The present application provides a method for returning to a high-standard network from a low-standard network, and can solve the problem that a main card of a terminal device in a dual-card dual-standby single-pass mode cannot return to a high-standard network after falling back to a low-standard network from the high-standard network during a data service. The method comprises: detecting that a first subscriber identification module (SIM) card of a terminal device falls back to a second standard network from a first standard network; acquiring the registration state of a second SIM card, the registration state comprising the operator of the second SIM card and the network on which the second SIM card resides, the first SIM card and the second SIM card enabling the terminal device to operate in a dual-card dual-standby single-pass mode; acquiring a target standard network according to the registration state of the second SIM card; registering the first SIM card into the target standard network.
