The present invention relates to Fc fusion proteins or IgG antibodies with improved binding to the complement protein Clq, due to one or more methionine residues at the C_H 2-C_H 3 interface which are oxidised to form methionine sulfoxide. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions and medical uses of such antibodies and Fc fusion proteins.
