A RAPIDIO® NETWORK FOR ACHIEVING LOAD BALANCING

The present disclosure relates to a RapidIO® network (18) for achieving load balancing. The RapidIO® network (18) has a two port association (16, 17) between the pair of switches (13, 15). Maintenance operations from a host processor (14) is used to actively distribute traffic between the shared ports (16, 17). Intra and Inter routing table formation is taken care by the host processor (14). Each endpoint processor contributes in forming weight matrix which will modify the inter switch routing table for load balancing. Two balanced port (16,17) association between the two switches (13,15) can effectively double the buffering capacity and low latency and high throughput for packet transfer can be maintained even when the network (18) is subjected to high traffic.
