This carriage for an automobile collision test is provided with: a carriage body on which a specimen can be mounted and which can move on rails disposed horizontally in the front/back direction; a rolling member that is provided in the carriage body and can switch between a rollable state, in which the rolling member is disposed on the rails so as to be rollable while the carriage body is lifted, and a non-contact state in which the rolling member is not in contact with the rails; and a control device that puts the rolling member in the non-contact state during a test period of the automobile collision simulation test in which the carriage body is discharged by a launch device and moves slidably on the rails, and puts the rolling member in the rollable state when moving during a non-test period different from the test period.
