A gas distributing mechanism and a corresponding cryogenic cooler. The gas distributing mechanism comprises a gas distributing valve (6) and a rotary valve (7). The gas distributing valve (6) comprises a gas distributing valve body (6a) and a gas distributing valve base (6b). A gas distributing plane (6a3) on the gas distributing valve body (6a) facing away from the gas distributing valve base (6b) is protrudingly provided relative to the gas distributing valve base (6b). The gas distributing plane (6a3) is tightly affixed to a switching plane (73) on the rotary valve (7) and the switching plane (73) is provided as protruding the rotary valve (7). The gas distributing valve (6) is fixedly mounted in a mounting cavity of a cover body (2) and the rotary valve (7) can rotate around the main axis of rotation (O) thereof relative to the gas distributing valve (6), thus switching a connection state between a gas distributing-side flow path and a switching-side flow path. The cryogenic cooler comprises the gas distributing mechanism. The gas distributing mechanism obviates the need for a surface treatment of the rotary valve (7), thus reducing costs, and, with only the rotary valve (7) being a moving part, equipment stability is ensured.
