The present invention provides a toughening agent for high-performance polyester and alloy thereof, and a preparation method therefor. Preparation of the toughening agent comprises two aspects, i.e., formula design and production design. The formula design mainly comprises 94-98% of a vinyl compound, 1-5% of a reaction monomer, 0.5-5% of a grafting monomer, 0.01-1% of an initiator, 0.1-1% of a crosslink inhibitor, 0.1-1% of an antioxygen, and 0.1-1% of a lubricating agent. The production design mainly comprises an advanced liquid phase feeding process, a solid phase extraction process, and a low-temperature post-treatment process. The beneficial effects of the present invention are improving the grafting efficiency of functional monomers while reducing the residual rate of unreacted monomers in a final product, and improving gel and black spots of the final product. The high-performance toughening agent prepared in the present invention has an obvious toughening effect on improvement of common polyester and alloy materials thereof, and has continuous production and cost advantages.
