An intelligent device, an inventory taking method, device and apparatus. The method comprises: performing near-field sensing of an electronic shelf label to locate goods and capturing an image thereof using an intelligent device that is movable, capable of performing near-field communication, capturing an image and using a visual recognition service, and identifying the quantity of the goods according to the obtained image using the visual recognition service, so as to complete the inventory taking automatically.
