A preparation method for a friction plate solvent-free composite wire. Raw materials of the composite wire comprise glass fiber non-twisted roving, a blended yarn, and a metal wire; the glass fiber non-twisted roving, the blended yarn, and the metal wire are sequentially subjected to a first twisting process and a second twisting process to prepare the composite wire; the composite wire is formed by using spinning technology instead of industrial alcohol and gasoline raw materials. In an actual production process, the labor intensity of an operator is low, and the production efficiency is high; moreover, after the composite wire is applied to a friction plate, various performances of the friction plate are stable and reliable while meeting technical requirements for environmental protection.
