The present invention relates to an eco-friendly flame retardant polyethylene multi-filament fiber manufactured by a high density polyethylene resin (HDPE) composition having an amine flame retardant and a melt index of 0.5 to 5.0 g/10 min, and to a manufacturing method thereof, and specifically, to an eco-friendly flame retardant polyethylene multi-filament fiber having not only flame retardancy but also high strength of 6.0 gf/d or more, and to a manufacturing method thereof.
