According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for controlling a falling prediction system using a thermal imaging camera comprises the steps of: photographing a figure of a human with a thermal imaging camera; analyzing each pixel data configuring a photographed image; finding x-axis histogram data and y-axis histogram data of the photographed image based on the pixel data; determining whether the human is in either a stable state or a falling risky state based on the x-axis histogram data and the y-axis histogram data; and operating an alarm device based on a state of the human. The falling prediction system for a patient can predict whether a patient falls with the high performance as well as protecting the privacy of the patient.
