The present invention relates to a composite structure comprising a reinforcement for a dart three-dimensional pie T-shaped preform, a method for manufacturing the same, and reinforcement. The reinforcement is a steered fabric having a first face surface and a second face surface separated by width, length, and thickness. The first face surface of the stead fabric is attached to the darted component of the preform. The stifed fabric reinforcement may be a single layer or multi-layer fabric and may be woven using a programmable take-up system.
