Disclosed are a device and a method for measuring a distance using a mono infrared camera, which can perform a function of a stereo thermal image camera such as distance data acquisition and 3D reconstruction through a plurality of image information obtained with a parallax by using a mono thermal image camera. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for measuring a distance comprises: a moving body; a sensor for measuring a displacement of the moving body according to movement of the moving body; the mono thermal image camera for generating thermal images according to the movement of the moving body; and a controller for calculating an actual distance to the thermal image by using the displacement of the moving body and the thermal images.
