The present invention provides a method and system for providing minimized drive test (MDT) measurement information to a base station in a wireless communication network. In one embodiment, the method includes directing the base station to the availability of MDT measurement information logged by a user terminal in a wireless network environment. The method also includes receiving an information request message that conveys the MDT measurement information in response to the indication. The method includes transmitting an information response message including at least a portion of the MDT measurement information to the base station, the information response message indicating whether any portion of the MDT measurement information remains in the user terminal . Then, the method includes repeating the receiving process and the transmitting process until the entire MDT measurement information is transmitted to the base station.
