Provided is a method for predicting a spread of an infectious disease. The method for predicting a spread of an infectious disease according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps: selecting a disease, which is detected in article data for a predetermined number of times or more, as a target infectious disease in which the disease is included in a disease list; collecting text data related to the target infectious disease from the article data, and extracting an infectious disease keyword from the collected text data; generating a cumulative number of infectious disease keywords for each specific period as first time series data from a first timing to a second timing; analyzing a pattern of the first time series data and a pattern of previously stored second time series data; and determining that the target infectious disease is a spreading infectious disease when a common pattern is detected between the pattern of the first time series data and the pattern of the second time series data, based on the result of the analysis.
