According to the present invention, there is provided a solid electrolyte comprising a block copolymer having high ion conductivity at room temperature and excellent mechanical strength, and a method for producing the solid electrolyte. The solid electrolyte according to the present invention can be used as an improved polymer electrolyte membrane which is easy to manufacture and exhibits high ion conductivity at room temperature and can be utilized as a next generation material of battery technology.
