The present invention relates to an apparatus to pay an electric charge using cryptocurrency and an operation method thereof. According to the present invention, the operation method comprises: a step of measuring individual electric usage of each user for a first electronic device; a step of calculating a first electric charge in accordance with a first individual electric usage of a first user among the individual electric usages of the users; a step of converting the first electric charge into a first cryptocurrency charge in accordance with a preset cryptocurrency; a step of generating a first transaction to remit cryptocurrency corresponding to the first cryptocurrency charge from a wallet address of the first user to a first electric device wallet address and requesting signature for the first transaction to a first user terminal of the first user; and a step of recording the first transaction in a block chain of the cryptocurrency when the first user terminal signs the first transaction with a secret key of the first user. Accordingly, a charge is instantaneously settled while using cryptocurrency easy to pay as a payment means, and thus convenience is provided to a member and a problem for uncollected money is able to be solved.
