The present invention relates to multifilament fibers comprising at least one polymer comprising a polyester and at least one filler comprising calcium carbonate. The invention further relates to the use of calcium carbonate as a filler in multifilament fibers comprising at least one polymer comprising a polyester, as well as a method for producing such multifilament fibers.
