The present invention relates to a method for simultaneously performing packet detection, symbol timing capturing, and carrier frequency offset estimation in parallel by using multi-correlation detection, and to a Bluetooth device thereof. The Bluetooth device for receiving a frequency-modulated signal, comprises: a frequency demodulation unit for converting a received signal into a similar amplitude-modulated signal; and a multi-correlation detecting unit for generating a multi-correlation index from the converted signal on the basis of an access address received from a connection layer and a plurality of carrier frequency offset search windows. According to the present invention, packet detection, symbol timing capturing, and carrier frequency offset estimating operations can be simultaneously performed in parallel in an access address section of 32 μsec instead of a preamble section of 8 μsec by using the carrier frequency offset search windows and a multi-correlation determiner, thereby securing reliability on the packet detection and symbol timing capturing robust against a carrier frequency offset, and simultaneously increasing the accuracy of the carrier frequency offset estimation in a signal strength region of reception sensitivity by a noise averaging effect. In addition, the access address section is used for an operation instead of a preamble, such that an available time of other mismatch estimation blocks using the preamble section is additionally secured, thereby improving the overall performance.
