The present invention relates to a composition for promoting skin regeneration comprising an extract of Pterocarpus santalinus as an active ingredient. The present invention has an antimicrobial activity against causative microorganisms of acne while inhibiting an inflammatory reaction occurring in skin tissues, and promotes the regeneration of damaged skin, thereby effectively improving the condition of damaged skin due to acne.
