The present invention relates to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) selective fluorescent probe compound for targeting cancer cells. The ER selective fluorescent probe compound according to the present invention freely penetrates into a cell membrane via SMVT protein under PKC-mediated regulation and is localized specifically in the ER, and thus can provide efficient monitoring information on the ER movement in various ER stress models. The present invention further has great utility in developing fluorescent bio-probes and therapeutic agents. The present invention comprises a compound represented by a general formula 1.
