According to an embodiment of the present invention, a virtual reality system for treating patients with fear of flying comprises: a display device for displaying a graphic environment emulating the interior of an airplane; a storage device for storing a plurality of video sequences where video sequences, indicating a prerecorded standardized environment scenario corresponding to a view through a window of the airplane while the airplane flies, are prerecorded; a head position sensor for detecting a position of a patients head, and generating a position signal corresponding to the position of the patients head; and a computer responding to the position signal to control a display of the graphic environment by the display device. The computer searches for one among the prerecorded video sequences to suggest the prerecorded video sequence within the display device of the graphic environment to simulate a view through the display device during the specific flying step.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
