The present invention provides a long span cable beam for bidirectional load resistance in a space structure in which an upper beam compression material is capable of bending resistance despite positive and negative loads. A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes the upper beam compression material having a predetermined length; multiple vertical supports vertically bonded at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction on the lower surface of the upper beam compression material; a positive lower beam tensile material settled at both ends of the upper beam compression material and supported by the vertical supports at the same time to be convexly curved downward and disperse the placement load of the upper beam compression material; and a negative lower beam tensile material curved upward, which is opposite to the lower beam tensile material, and settled at both ends of the upper beam compression material to disperse the load in the direction opposite to the placement load on the upper beam compression material.
