The present invention relates to cosmetic, quasi-drug, food, and pharmaceutical compositions containing a Diplectria barbata extract as an active ingredient and a cosmetic composition preparing method. According to the present invention, the Diplectria barbata extract activates cell growth in wounded areas by promoting the phosphorylation of proteins related to cell differentiation and growth such as PERK and pPKB as well as reducing the expression of MMP-3 accelerating skin aging while increasing synthesis of the extracellular matrix such as collagen or elastin, thereby having wound healing and regeneration capabilities. Furthermore, the Diplectria barbata extract can be used in cosmetic, quasi-drug, food, and pharmaceutical products for antioxidant, anti-aging, wound healing purposes by increasing the expression of antioxidant proteins and antioxidant enzyme activities.
