Birth point systems and devices for neonatal screening, biochemical cartridges, and methods

A birth point system and apparatus for neonatal screening, biochemical cartridges, and methods are disclosed. That is, a birth point system is provided that includes a birth point device for receiving and processing biochemical cartridges for performing neonatal screening. In addition, a portable smart device, such as a smartphone or tablet, communicates with a birth point device, where the smart device may include a newborn screening (NBS) mobile app. In one example, the birth point system and birth point device support only neonatal biological screening. However, in another example, the birth point system and birth point device support both neonatal biological screening and neonatal physiological screening.
