The present invention relates to a method, system, and computer program for applying a user setting flow rule in a software defined networking environment. The present invention provides a method for applying a user setting flow rule in a software defined networking environment comprising the steps of: receiving flow rule setting information from a user; generating a flow rule using flow rule setting information; verifying validity of the flow rule by using network topology information corresponding to the flow rule; and transmitting the flow rule to a controller when the validity verification is completed. According to the present invention, in applying the flow rule generated by the user setting, the validity of the flow rule before applying the flow rule can be checked to prevent failure according to the network topology.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
